The St. Louis Blues put together an impressive showing in February 2025, propelled by standout performances from their top players. As of March 1, 2025, here’s a look at the team’s leading contributors over an eight-game stretch last month, highlighting the skill, discipline, and depth that defined their success.

Robert Thomas Dominates the Scoresheet

Center Robert Thomas led the Blues’ charge in February, amassing four goals and 12 points in eight games while posting a stellar plus-8 rating. The 25-year-old stayed out of the penalty box entirely, recording zero penalty minutes, and excelled at even strength with nine of his 12 points coming in 5-on-5 play. Thomas also controlled the faceoff dot, winning 61.8% of his draws, making him the team’s top performer and a key driver of their offensive attack.

Pavel Buchnevich Excels as Playmaker

Winger Pavel Buchnevich was another standout, racking up 1 goal and 10 points across eight games with a plus-8 rating. Eight of his points came at even strength, showcasing his consistency in regular play.

Buchnevich fired 18 shots on goal but converted at just a 5.6% shooting percentage—a mark well below his usual output. If he keeps shooting, Blues fans can expect his goal tally to climb, cementing his status among the team’s elite in February.

Brayden Schenn Anchors with Consistency

Captain Brayden Schenn rounded out the top forwards, tallying 1 goal and 7 points in eight games while taking just two penalty minutes. Six of his points came at even strength, though his plus-1 rating paled in comparison to his linemates. Schenn averaged just over one shot per game (nine total), but his steady presence and leadership kept him among the Blues’ best last month.

Depth Players Step Up

The Blues’ supporting cast also made significant contributions in February, with Colton Parayko, Jordan Kyrou, Philip Broberg, and Zack Bolduc, each recording five points over eight games. Parayko, Kyrou, and Broberg each scored three goals, while Bolduc added two. Parayko led the group with a plus-7 rating, while Kyrou maintained an even rating.

The quartet earned only four penalty minutes, showcasing the team’s disciplined play. Bolduc and Kyrou contributed power-play points, with Bolduc emerging as an offensive threat despite averaging only 12:15 of ice time per game. These four players tied for the next tier of top performers.

Jordan Binnington Shines in Net

Between the pipes, Jordan Binnington was a February standout, posting a 4-0-1 record in five starts. His four wins tied for fourth in the NHL for the month, and his .915 save percentage ranked sixth among qualified goaltenders. Facing 141 shots (28.2 per game), Binnington delivered a 2.34 goals-against average, placing him 12th among netminders with at least three starts in February. While Joel Hofer handled three of the eight games, Binnington’s performance made him the Blues’ top goaltender.
