The St. Louis Blues’ four-game winning streak has officially come to an end with a 6-3 loss against the Dallas Stars. However, there’s plenty to be encouraged about. Of the nine teams that played four games this past week, the Blues were the only team to win three of four, securing six of a possible eight points. As they continue their battle for the second Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, every point matters.
Statistically, the Blues have been rolling offensively. They ranked fourth in the NHL over the past week in Goals For per Game, averaging 4.75, while allowing 2.75 Goals per Game, the 13th-best mark in that span. Special teams were a mixed bag—while the power play operated at a respectable 25% success rate, the penalty kill struggled mightily, finishing at a league-worst 44% over the past week. Cleaning up the penalty kill will be a major point of emphasis moving forward.
Looking Ahead: The Road Trip Continues
After a brief two-day break, the Blues resume their six-game road trip with three key matchups this week:
Wednesday, March 5 at Los Angeles Kings (9:30 p.m. CST): The Blues will look to slow down the Kings, who remain in the thick of the Pacific Division playoff race. St. Louis will need to capitalize on scoring chances while tightening up defensively to counter L.A.'s depth.
Friday, March 7 at Anaheim Ducks (9:00 p.m. CST): The Ducks have struggled this season, but they remain a dangerous team with young talent. St. Louis will aim to take advantage of Anaheim’s inconsistent defense and build on their offensive momentum.
Saturday, March 8 at Los Angeles Kings (7:00 p.m. CST): A second matchup against the Kings in a four-day span presents an opportunity for adjustments. Expect a physical, hard-fought battle as the Blues look to close out the week on a strong note.
Blues Top Performers
With a four-game winning streak in the books, several Blues players stepped up in a big way. Four players (Brayden Schenn, Robert Thomas, Dylan Holloway, Jake Neighbours) produced over a point-per-game pace, while five others (Colton Parayko, Oskar Sundqvist, Pavel Buchnevich, Philip Broberg, and Zack Bolduc) contributed at a point-per-game rate.
Brayden Schenn: The Blues’ captain played a key role in their even-strength success, dishing out five assists over four games while averaging 16:28 of ice time. Four of those assists came at even strength, proving his two-way impact.
Robert Thomas: Thomas extended his point streak to 10 games, recording a secondary assist on Nathan Walker’s second-period goal against Dallas. His 53.4% success rate in the faceoff circle has been a key factor in the Blues’ recent success. He finished the week with one goal and five points in four games.
Dylan Holloway: Holloway is heating up at the right time. After a brief offensive dip before the Four Nations break, he has now extended his point streak to five games, scoring goals in three straight contests and tallying six points over that span.
Jake Neighbours: Neighbours saw his point streak snapped on Sunday, but not before posting two goals and five points over the last four games. His plus-five rating and 15:51 average ice time showcase his impact at both ends of the ice. Considering he managed just one assist in 10 games from Jan. 23 to Feb. 23, his recent surge has been a welcome sign.
Zack Bolduc: The 22-year-old forward is making the most of his opportunities. Bolduc scored four goals in four games while seeing increased ice time, averaging 14:15 per game. His shooting percentage of 57.1% (four goals on seven shots) suggests regression is inevitable, but with his shooting talent, he has the ability to continue frustrating goaltenders.

Final Thoughts
The Blues may have seen their winning streak snapped, but they’re playing some of their best hockey of the season at the right time. As they continue their road trip, maintaining offensive production while shoring up the penalty kill will be key. With crucial matchups ahead, the opportunity to solidify a playoff push is right in front of them.
