The St. Louis Blues (31-27-7) dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the Los Angeles Kings (32-20-9) at Crypto.com Arena on Saturday night. Coming off a 4-3 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, the Blues faced a quick turnaround in their second game in two days.

Anze Kopitar gave the Kings a 1-0 lead at the 5-minute mark of the first period, redirecting Drew Doughty’s slap shot into the net.
Nick Leddy tied the game 1-1 four minutes into the third period, scoring his first goal of the season on a long slap shot through traffic. Assists went to Jake Neighbours and Zack Bolduc.
In overtime, Quinton Byfield secured the win for the Kings, sending a shot over Joel Hofer’s shoulder just 27 seconds in following a turnover by Dylan Holloway.
Joel Hofer made 21 saves for the Blues, including 11 in the third period. He is now 1-0-2 in his last three starts.
The Blues are 7-1-2 in their last 10 games.

Key Moments:
Brayden Schenn appeared to have scored a power-play goal just 36 seconds into the game, but a review showed the puck did not fully cross the goal line.
Joel Hofer made a series of crucial saves throughout the game, especially in the third period, keeping the Blues in it until the final moments.
The Blues’ penalty kill was also a standout, successfully killing off multiple power plays from the Kings.
Kings ML (-185) hit while the total score went UNDER the 5.5 line (-120). The Blues' unders continue to be a cash cow this season.
