CITY, Union Meet For First Time

St. Louis CITY SC and the Philadelphia Union will battle tonight in Pennsylvania in the first-ever meeting between the two clubs.

CITY will be trying to remain unbeaten, as they’ve recorded two wins and two draws in their first four games of the season.

CITY Chase History

CITY will also be attempting to become the first team in MLS history to begin a season with five straight clean sheets. They can set a new league record for the longest shutout streak to start a season if they can hold Philadelphia off the board for the first 68 minutes tonight.

CITY is also aiming to continue their trend of hot starts to seasons. With a positive result tonight, CITY would become the first MLS club to go unbeaten through the first five games in each of its first three seasons.

Philadelphia Shorthanded Tonight

The Union have been the highest-scoring team in MLS this season with 11 goals in their first four games. They are coming off a 3-1 loss to Nashville that snapped their three-game winning streak to start the year.

Philadelphia will be without five starters tonight, as their roster has been decimated by players being called up for national team duty during this international window.

My Lean

I’m treading lightly on this game because I haven’t been able to figure out CITY so far this season, as I’ve given out three losers and one push in these articles. So this is just a lean and not a bet for me.

But I think CITY has the edge tonight with Philadelphia missing nearly half of their starting lineup. So my lean for this game is to take CITY in the draw no bet market. If CITY wins the game, I win. If they lose, I lose. If they draw, I push.

I do think the draw is in play here, as Philadelphia has had a lot of them in their recent history at home. The Union have won just 6 of their last 24 regular season home matches with a record of 6-9-9. So if you take CITY in the draw no bet market, you have a ticket on something that has only lost 6 times over the last 24 home matches for Philadelphia.

Lean: CITY Draw No Bet at +120 on DraftKings
