1st Inning
The Brewers jumped on Fedde early. Brice Turang and Christian Yelich each drew walks before William Contreras, Sal Frelick, and Rhys Hoskins delivered three straight RBI singles, giving Milwaukee a quick 3-0 lead.
4th Inning
Milwaukee broke the game open in the fourth. Isaac Collins singled and Joey Ortiz doubled, putting two runners in scoring position. Caleb Durbin added an RBI single, and Turang followed with an infield RBI single. A wild pitch from Fedde advanced the runners, and Yelich capped the rally with a two-run single to right, pushing the lead to 7-0.
5th Inning
The Cardinals finally broke through. Lars Nootbaar led off with a single, and Brendan Donovan followed with an RBI double—the only extra-base hit for St. Louis all afternoon.

On the Mound
Fedde struggled, allowing a season-high seven earned runs and nine hits over his first four innings. Recently recalled from Triple-A Memphis, reliever Matt Svanson was a bright spot, retiring all five batters he faced across the seventh and eighth innings.
At the Plate
The Cardinals were 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position and stranded 11 runners on base. Donovan’s double was the lone extra-base hit for St. Louis. Notably, the Cardinals remain one of two teams yet to record a home run from the designated hitter spot this season, and their DHs have combined for just two RBIs—the fewest in MLB.
Brewers ML (-108) cashed easily while the total score PUSHED at 8 runs.
On Deck
The Cardinals head back on the road to begin a four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. The first game is scheduled for Monday night with first pitch at 5:40 p.m. CT. Andre Pallante is set to start for St. Louis, facing Reds right-hander Nick Martinez.
