The Royals’ offense has been putrid so far this season, and as outlined above, Liberatore is in a great run of form. Kansas City also ranks 27th in MLB in OPS against left-handed pitching.
And Wacha has been dominant early in games. If you look at just the first five innings of his nine starts this season, he has given up just 6 total runs covering 44 innings for a 1.23 ERA. Wacha has shut out his opponent in the first five innings in each of his last four starts.
It’s slightly juiced, but I think the price is still good enough to make this a bet.
